Laguna Beach Family Session

Big family Session

This was my first ever big family session. I guess my instructor in school were right when he said I would end up doing a big family session like him one day. I never imagined it would be so soon after graduation!

Not only did I get to take the family photos, but I got to be apart of them as well. (Self-timer does wonders)

Loveon & Justin Pasadena Engagement

Loveon & Justin Engaged

When Loveon & Justin contacted me saying that they needed engagement photos I couldn't be more thrilled. We had scheduled a day and then reschedule to another day and then to another day yet again. It was crazy, but both Loveon and Justin and I understood that unexpected things happen that we have no control over.

Loveon & Justin met online in 2012, how cool is that???? Oh and when he proposed he took her on a trip on Memorial day weekend to Snoqualmie, WA where they hiked down to the bottom of a waterfall where he popped the question, so romantic!

When the session date finally came around I was so excited, we were to take the photos at Pasadena City Hall. Which is gorgeous for pictures! It was my first time there, and I was so happy that they picked that spot.

The love between them was unreal. It's like they were meant for each other or something! We had fun exploring all the different places around Pasadena City Hall.

Oh, and did I mention that they wanted pictures with their cute and oh so sweet french bulldog Z! He even had a sign saying "My humans are getting married!". How cute is that?

Loveon & Justin are to be married in 2015 on a beach in Hawaii. What a gorgeous wedding that will be!

If you are recently engaged and still need pictures done, feel free to contact me to book your session today!

Jack's Riverside Senior Session

Jack's Riverside Senior Session

Jack was the first male senior for Memory Layne Photography for Class of 2015.

He was very sweet and down to earth. Jack plays baseball and soccer. I was excited when he said he brought his baseball bat and soccer shoes with him. I love incorporating things that mean a lot to my subjects. It really adds a personal touch to their photos and memories will always come flashing back in the future when looking back on the photos.

We had fun running around downtown Riverside looking for various locations to photograph Jack in.
I couldn't be happier with how the pictures came out.

Introducing Jack Class of 2015!

Hey class if 2015, have you had your senior pictures taken yet? If not it's not to late to contact me to book a session today, but hurry spots fill up quickly!

Megan's Riverside Senior Session

Megan's Senior Session

I had so much fun shooting Megan's senior session.

We met in downtown Riverside where we explored and found various locations to photograph her in. She was so much fun to work with, and not to mention a natural in front of the camera!

She had mentioned to me during the shoot that she ran track and did cross country, so when she told me she brought some of her medals with her to incorporate into a photo or two I was excited! Now when she said she had a few medals I thought she meant like 3 or 4 so you can imagine how shocked I was when she pulled out 10+ medals from her bag and then stated that, that wasn't even all of them! Crazy right?!?!

With out further a due here is Megan, Class of 2015!

Kellie Riverside Senior Session

2015 high school senior season has just begun.

Kellie was one of the first to book her session with me at the very start of the 2015 season.

Kellie's mom is a family friend and when she asked me to do her daughter's senior session, I just couldn't say no!

Kellie and I met in downtown Riverside. Kellie was a natural in front of the camera. Very sweet and down to earth! We shared a few laughs and talked as we walked all around finding different spots to photograph Kellie in.

Meet Kellie, Senior class of '15

Hey class if 2015, have you had your senior pictures taken yet? If not it's not to late to contact me to book a session today, but hurry spots fill up quickly!

Something New.

You are going to have to bare with me here. I have never been much of a writer so having a blog is something completely new to me. It took a lot of convincing from a friend of mine to finally work up the courage to make one, but here I am writing my first blog post. In fact, as i type this the friend I mentioned above is coaching me on my writing abilities. Got to love having a friend that is always there for you when you need them.

I have always loved taking pictures, for as long as I can remember I was taking the camera away from my mom and snapping photos here and there, but it wasn't until high school that I realized it was a passion, a passion that I wanted turn into my career. When I was 16 I bought myself my first camera and photographed everything around me. I took photography classes in high school, which eventually turned into being accepted into Hallmark Institute of Photography. Going to Hallmark was a big decision in more ways than one. It required me to move 3,000 miles away from my family and everything I knew and grew up with, but it was the best decision I have ever made.

You bet I was scared out of my mind! I moved into a house with a girl I barely knew, had no car, and no family close by, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. The girl I moved in with turned out to be one of my best friends. She is there for me through it all, just as I am for her. I met a couple other close friends during my time there, as well as made ever lasting relationships with the staff at Hallmark who was always there and willing to help when needed.

Hallmark helped me realize how special it is to capture the memories happening everyday. Whether it be the anniversary you celebrated last week, welcoming a new little bundle of joy in your life, graduating high school, or getting married. All of which I look forward to capturing for you and sharing with you right here.
